The One Simple Thing Initiative

by Llanion on November 16th, 2009

Twice in the last twenty-four hours, things have happened that were not overly complex nor particularly exciting, but I was very thankful that they occurred.

I have been called, in the past, a cynic, depressing, and grumpy. I won’t argue- I’m quite capable- and, due to long practice, skilled- at all three roles. That doesn’t mean I want the title Llanion The Depressing.

So hey, here goes nothing, a tiny, saccharine ray of philosophic hope in the darkness: The One Simple Thing initiative. What it is is simple: “Once per day, defined as ‘the time between waking up to commence my day and the time between going to sleep, post a Tweet with the hashtag ‘#OneST’ and one thing that I am thankful for/happy about/pleased with that happened that day.”

Should be simple, bad pun intended, enough. The 140-character limit should enforce the simplicity. So… here goes nothing.
